We held our second annual block party at The Ridge on Aug. 12 and many of the neighbours, their family and friends attended. The event took place at the large upper park within The Ridge. There was face-painting and bubble blowing for the children and a live band that kept everyone entertained. There was fun and food for all ages!
The food was barbecued by the local residents, and everyone enjoyed the hamburgers, hot dogs and salads. Then came the desserts, with homemade goodies baked and brought by many of the homeowners. It was the icing on the cake so to speak, to have such delicious and assorted desserts.
The Lance LaPoint band kept everyone dancing and up on their feet and even the little ones were jumping around to the music. Approximately 150 people attended the party which started in the afternoon and went on into the evening. The festivities were enjoyed by all who attended, which was evident by all of the smiling faces. Living at The Ridge is truly a unique experience. Neighbours become friends and welcome all new residents to the area.
Come and see for yourself. Take a drive through The Ridge, one of the newest housing developments in the Comox Valley and you will find people eager to share their experiences about living at The Ridge.
